Keeping calm? Carry on.

So we have all been plunged into the same situation but under very different circumstances. From March this year the UK went into lockdown as a measure in which to try and control the spread of COVID-19, and for many of us it was a point where our lives had this moment of free fall where everything changed.
Something so small and simple as grabbing your bag and heading into town, seeing friends after a meeting or grabbing a coffee for the walk home were all suddenly taken away. Stretching out in front of us this sense of not quite being sure when life would get back to normal.
For us and the people we work with, collaborators and clients alike, it was a moment to wait as patiently as we could. Zoom calls and text messages became a frequent means for discussion but I could feel the energy slowly slipping out from everyone. Working in a creative field made me realise how reliant we are on those small moments of one to one interaction with other people that sparks an idea.
A friend of mine used to say, 'You don't miss the place, you miss the people' and it's this that has been rolling around my mind for weeks now. So I started updating the photography section on the Pantheon Creative website. Slowly I begun to add a selection of documentary photography, partly due to the sudden urge to show life before lockdown, of all of the places that I was missing, but it also exists as a means of showing the people that visit the site what else Pantheon Creative has to offer. Alongside these are some of the client based work that we have initiated. So keep an eye on the site for more of this over time as and when.
Also I have been trying to decide what form this blog may take. Potentially it is going to be a way to reach out to other creatives to profile the work that others have done during this strange time that we find ourselves in.
Hopefully we will find normality again soon and I can't wait to see you once again when it does.
